Sample Cleansers Saves My Day (Kiehl's Clearly Corrective White Cleanser and Toner)

And so, If you read my post on my facebook page. You'll know that my sister and I had suffered from pimples these past days because of our expired bar cleanser.
We only bought that cleanser 2 weeks ago then lately we realize it's expired because of its super foul smell.
I had no face cleanser to use this time and I couldn't drop by the mall to buy some because of my busy schedule. Good thing I remembered I have this samples stored in my drawer. I never tried using it before because I still have my facial cleanser and I just want to finish it first before trying out another one.
I had been using Kiehl's Purifying Foam Cleanser and Clarity-Activating Toner for 1 week now, and I can say that my skin is really loving it. I use it day and night and I noticed that my skin is soft, smooth and less oily when I wake up plus it didn't break me out, meaning I had no pimples or acne or whatsoever.
What I Love About It <3
- made my skin less oily, soft and smooth
- my skin felt very hydrated, dry patches on my skin are gone
- doesn't break me out
What I Don't Like
- the cleanser smells like coppertone sunblock but it doesn't bother me too much.
- Can't find where to buy it

Ellana Minerals are the first cosmetic brand I collected since the start of my makeup collection.
Why? because, I'm a college student with a very limited budget and only Ellana Mineral Makeups are the one I could afford.
But Hey! there are also plenty local makeup brands that sells inexpensive makeup but why I chose Ellana?
first It's mineral. that time I still don't know a lot about makeups and I don't want to take the risk of ruining my skin.
second, its super inexpensive. Their makeup range starting from P100 - P420 and I tell you, a little goes a long way.
third, they give free samples. Just fill up the forms in their website and pay the shipping fee. The free samples consist of ( 3 Mineral Foundation, Mineral Finishing Powder, Mineral Powder Blush).
So moving on to their blushes:

What I think you'll love at this blushes:
- it's inexpensive fulfillment and flirtation (1g cost only P100) and Kitten (2.5g cost P180)
- A little goes a long way, very pigmented
- It's paraben-free
- Many variety of shades to choose
- it gives a very natural glow/finish
What I think you'll hate at this blushes:
- messy application sometimes. :D
My Overall Final Verdict:
I'm very much in love with this brushes. it didn't broke me out unlike other blushes, gives me a nice glow which is good, and inexpensive.
Will I repurchase this?
Yes of course.. After I purchase Kitten I'm now currently eyeing on Fettish.

Just wanna share this pretty single eyeshadow I received last Monday from my officemate.
Ok, so moving on the eyeshadow. well, It's my first eyeshadow from NYX and I really really L-O-V-E it.
Its a golden brown color that has shimmers. Perfect for everyday if you want to add some color on your eyelids.
I am really amazed how pigmented and velvetty this eyeshadow is. It's not like my regular eyeshadow
Will I buy this eyeshadow? Of Course, now I'm planning to buy NYX palettes because of this. :D
So what is more stressful than stress? For me it's pimples.
I can tolerate stress but not when it comes to the point that I will look so wasted or in Filipino term " NGARAG" . hehehe.
In my line of work, stress is inevitable and these freaking pimple keeps showing up like mushrooms. Good thing I just have to deal with them for a day.
My Secret? I use panOxyl Acne gel 10% to dry my pimples fast.
PanOxyl Acne gel are available in 2.5%, 5% and 10%. I use 10% cause I think 2.5% and 5% will have no effect on me. But I suggest you consult your dermatologist first on what % should you take. :D
According to Albanyst Pharmacy. PanOxyl acne gel has an active ingredient called
Benzoyl peroxide which are commonly used as acne treatment.
PanOxyl based on its product description helps to:
- Reduce the bacteria or germs which are implicated in acne
- Reduce the number of acne spots or pimples
- Stop new blackheads, whiteheads and spots from forming
- Makes your skin less oily
What PanOxyl really does to my face:
- dries pimply fast as in overnight fast. <3
- really reduces my acne scars. except for those that I popped. (LESSON: never ever pop your pimples.
How I apply it?
I apply it at night after cleansing or removing the dirt and makeup from my face.
I apply a pea size amount, ONLY at my pimple overnight. I would sometimes feel a stinging something but nevertheless that would indicate me that the product is working. Then I should wake up in the morning with dried pimples. HURRAHH!!!

Last Tuesday (June 19, 2012) I received the eye shadows that I oredered in MakeupHolics. Ms. Melanie, the owner of the shop is very accommodating and very nice. She also suggested me to buy the disco palette since the first palette I ordered was out of stock.
OK Let's Move on to the Product. . .

I have been obsessed in grooming my brows lately. I admire how celebrities look younger when they have this full yet soft looking brows. I watched other you tube gurus achieve that look, I found out that they are using eyebrow powder although some can achieve the same look using eyebrow pencils. I went to the drugstore to find some then I stumbled upon the Fanny Serrano makeup counter, I asked the SA if they have eyebrow powders. She immediately handled me this.
I checked what was inside and I was like WOW!.. It has four shades, other only has two

the SA also told me that this can also double as an eye shadow. Being a beginner in makeup that time I was like, ang galing! I bought the eye shadow and swatched it at home.

for soft looking brows, this powder can be directly applied in the brows. I use the light brown one for contouring. :D

I swatched it at the back of my hand using a wet angled brush. voila! look how the colors popped. the black one can also be used as an eyeliner. Applying eyebrow powder using a wet angled brush can make your eyebrow stay in place through out the day.

For the longest period of time, I had been looking for a pencil eyeliner that won't make me look like I have panda eyes. You see I have hooded eyes so I always tight line my waterline.
I think I found the one. :D
When It comes to eyeliners, I always go to Nichido counter. Nichido eyeliners never let me down. Good think about nichido it's available locally and it's cheap. (P138. 00)

I Start of with my daily cleansing routine (Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize).
Apply face primer to make the bb cream last the whole day
Next is apply bb cream / tinted moisturizer. BB creams or tinted moisturizer are good for everyday use because it is not heavy like foundation.
After applying bb creams, apply concealer under the eyes. Then set all the face products using a translucent face powder.
Lastly, smile then put a rosy pink blush
For the eyes:
I start off by applying eye-primer all over my lids and crease.
Applying primer will not only make your eyeshadow look more vibrant but also will tend to avoid creasing. ~~A must for those who have hooded eyes like me.
Second I apply a cream based eyeshadow all over the lids and up above the crease area.
I used the tap and press technique in applying the cream eyeshadow using my ring finger.
I smudge a little bit the eyeshadow in the crease area to make a fading effect.
Lastly, I apply a blue powder eyeshadow to set my cream eyeshadow on.
For the lips:
I apply tons of lip balm to moisturize my lips then I wipe it off with a clean tissue to help exfoliate and remove any dead skin cells.
I apply a pink lipstick then top it off with a clear lip gloss. Then that's it.

Just wanna share to you my first humble traincase (sorry for the bad quality pics. Still learning to photograph things ). Anyways, I bought this traincase in Divisoria inside 168 mall ground floor. I think it's near the escalator. I can't remember the exact place though but that's the only stall I saw that sells train cases in different sizes and colors.
